Cameroonian fantasy role-playing action game Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-Odan has launched a Kickstarter funding campaign, which aims to raise $45,000.
Aurion is being developed by Yaounde-based Kiro'o Games and published by Plug-in Digital. It offers 2D combat and role-playing progression against a backdrop of African fantasy lore and characters.
"We are 20 young Cameroonians working on Aurion: Legacy of the Kori-‐Odan, one of the few, if not the only game developer in Cameroon," said Olivier Madiba, founder of Kiro'o Games. "We want to show the world our professionalism and stand as models of inspiration for our young brothers and sisters not just in Africa, but around the world."
