The game will first launch as a downloadable title, then launch on disc on Oct. 27 with a “Season Pass Disc” entitling the buyer to the full series. The physical format launch will be for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
The digital launch includes those platforms as well as Android, iOS, Mac and Windows PC.
Minecraft: Story Mode will be told in the same style as Telltale’s adapted hits The Walking Dead and Tales from the Borderlands. Patton Oswalt and Catherine Taber voice the lead character, Jesse, who may be male or female according to player choice. Corey Feldman, Paul Reubens, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Billy West and Dave Fennoy round out the cast.
