A demo for Mighty No. 9 meant to launch yesterday, Sept. 15, has been delayed by its developer.
The news comes from an otherwise unrelated update to Mighty No. 9's website. At the end of a post on the game's current robot design contest, the team at Comcept shared that due to unexpected distribution issues, "there is a good chance [the demo] will not be ready to launch by the 15th."
This is not the first the game has received some kind of delay. Originally planned to launch earlier this year, it has since been moved to an unspecified date in 2016.
Might No. 9 was crowdfunded on Kickstarter and is the first independent release from Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man. The action side-scroller is heavily inspired by Inafune's better-known creation.
