Rebel Galaxy, the space-faring opera that puts players in control of massive capital ships, is launching for PC on Oct. 20.

Charlie Hall is Polygon’s tabletop editor. In 12-plus years as a journalist & photographer, he has covered simulation, strategy, and spacefaring games, as well as public policy.
The title is being developed by Double Damage Games, which was co-founded in 2014 by Travis Baldree and Erich Schaefer. The team has deep roots in the action role-playing genre. Schaefer co-founded Blizzard North helped create the Diablo series, while Baldree had a hand in building Mythos. Later, the pair teamed up to found Runic Games, where they gave birth to the successful Torchlight series. You can read more about their latest endeavor in our feature.
Rebel Galaxy will be coming the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Mac and Windows PC later this year.
