Capcom's Ace Attorney series is getting its own anime, the developer announced at Tokyo Game Show today.
The news came from a presentation about the next game in the franchise, Ace Attorney 6. Details were light, but Capcom did confirm an airdate of April 2016.
The anime will feature Phoenix Wright, Maya Fey and Miles Edgeworth, among other notable, as of yet unannounced characters from the games.
Capcom announced the new Ace Attorney 6 earlier this month. Phoenix Wright's latest is playable at the Tokyo event and will launch on the Nintendo 3DS in both Japan and the West in 2016.
The most recent release in the franchise is a spinoff set in Japan's Meiji period and came out this summer. Dai Gyakuten Saiban: Naruhodo Ryunosuke no Boken (or The Great Ace Attorney for short) has not been confirmed to make it to the West.
Phoenix Wright was last seen stateside in the 3DS title Dual Destinies, which we enjoyed when it hit the Nintendo eShop in 2013.
