Is this how Konami says goodbye to Metal Gear Solid's Hideo Kojima?

It seems that people are lining up to say goodbye to Metal Gear Solid, poke fun at it, or in the case of this latest video, to sing its culturally-significant praises.

Posted over on one of Konami's official YouTube channels, it appears this video was pulled from the collector's disc of Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. The "Metal Gear Solid Legacy" video includes short quotes from a variety of folks in the game-making and movie-making business.

Avi Arad, the producer behind X-Men and Spider-Man, joins film-makers like Guillermo Del Toro (who was to work with Hideo Kojima on Silent Hills), Shinya Tsukamoto (Fires on the Plain, Tetsuo: The Iron Man) and Ryuhei Kitamura (Versus, The Midnight Meat Train) to talk about the impact of the series.

It also includes appearances from Cliff Bleszinski (formerly of Epic Games, now of Boss Key) and Vince Zampella (Respawn Entertainment), among others.

What's not clear is if this was meant to be some sort of goodbye from publisher Konami.
