Samit Sarkar (he/him) is Polygon’s deputy managing editor. He has more than 17 years of experience covering video games, movies, television, and technology.
As the studio announced in mid-August, today's livestream is called "Court of Oryx." The hourlong session will focus on the Dreadnaught, a new playable destination in Destiny that is a massive Hive spacecraft floating amid the rings of Saturn. Bungie will take players through a patrol mission on the ship. The developer will also reveal the Court of Oryx, a way that players will be able to "manually trigger public events."
Destiny: The Taken King launches Sept. 15. For more, check out our everything-you-need-to-know StoryStream.
