Comments by a voice actor who had a leading role in Wolfenstein: The New Order suggest a follow-up to that game is coming in 2017.
Alicja Bachleda-Curus, who portrayed Anya Oliwa in the 2014 game, told a Polish television network "now we're working on a second one," in reference to Wolfenstein: The New Order, "and it will take roughly two years."
Anya Oliwa was the ally and love interest of The New Order's protagonist, B.J. Blazkowicz. Bachleda-Curus said her work on the sequelis taking place in the United States, she said. MachineGames, the developer of The New Order, is based in Sweden.
Bethesda Softworks, the game's publisher hasn't announced any plans for a sequel though MachineGames in other reports has expressed interest in a sequel. The New Order, which launched in May 2014, was followed by a downloadable prequel called The Old Blood in May, and it was given a physical release in July.
Polygon has reached out to a Bethesda representative for comment and will update if any is made.
