Early listing says Battlefield Hardline coming free to EA Access

The next free game coming to EA Access on Xbox One is Battlefield Hardline, according to a listing on the service first spied by a Redditor (above).

The free version joins the subscription service in October, but a specific date was not mentioned. Polygon confirmed the image above.

EA Access is available only for Xbox One users, and costs $5 a month or $30 per year. In addition to the free games, which are generally about a year old, it offers timed, five-day preview windows in advance of major releases, primarily EA Sports titles.

The most recent free game to join the lineup was Dragon Age: Inquisition, Polygon's game of the year for 2014. When asked recently if EA Access would ever come to PlayStation 4, Electronic Arts chief operating officer Peter Moore bluntly dismissed the question, referring to earlier remarks by Sony that Access did not offer a good value to PlayStation gamers.
