The prophecy is fulfilled: Legendary actress Sigourney Weaver is among the growing number of the original Ghostbusters cast who will return to cameo in Paul Feig's upcoming reboot.
Sigourney Weaver will be in the new Ghostbusters film

Annie Potts, who played receptionist Janine Melnitz, as well as the three living actors who comprised the original Ghostbusters — Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson — are confirmed to appear in the reboot, which will star Melissa McCarthy, Kristin Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Chris Hemsworth.
Today, director Paul Feig tweeted confirmation of Weaver’s involvement as well:
Gang, trying to keep surprises but this is about to leak, so I'll tell you myself: the awesome Sigourney Weaver is going to be in our movie!
— Paul Feig (@paulfeig) September 25, 2015 It’s not likely that Weaver will not be reprising her role as Dana Barrett (or the Zuul-possessed Gatekeeper) for the film, but rather will probably appear in an unrelated cameo role. But we’re willing to bet that she could still rock a gold lamé shift and match Bill Murray in wit.
