Comcept's Mega Man spiritual successor Mighty No. 9 will be released on Feb. 9, 2016 in North America, publisher Deep Silver announced today. Originally scheduled for release on Sept. 15, Mighty No. 9 was delayed to 2016 last month.
Mighty No. 9 will be available both digitally and in physical form on Feb. 9 for PlayStation 4, Wii U and Xbox One. It will be released digitally on the same day for Linux, Mac, PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Xbox 360. Downloadable versions of the game for Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita are coming "at a later date."
Outside of North America, Mighty No. 9 will be released on Feb. 12, 2016.
Conceived by veteran Mega Man producer Keiji Inafune and developed by Inti Creates, Mighty No. 9 was crowdfunded through Kickstarter in 2013. The project raised more than $4 million from backers, thanks to its promise to deliver a new Mega Man-like game for fans of Capcom's action platforming franchise.
