The Stanley Parable developer's next game, The Beginner's Guide, launches this week

The Beginner's Guide, a new game from The Stanley Parable co-creator Davey Wreden, is heading to Mac and Windows PC on Oct. 1.

Few details about The Beginner's Guide have been released, though Wreden calls it a "narrative, first-person game." The game won't be released under the Galactic Cafe banner, which includes The Stanley Parable co-creator William Pugh.

The Stanley Parable, released in 2013, is a first-person game in which players control eponymous office worker Stanley. Upon the first completion of the game, players are encouraged to try again and experiment with their options to unlock the game's many quirky, and sometimes downright bizarre, endings.
