PlayStation 4's system software 3.00 goes live to users tomorrow, following a monthlong test of new features in a closed beta.
System 3.00 will introduce streaming gameplay to YouTube as well as uploading 10-second clips directly to Twitter. Users also will be able to save screenshots in the higher-resolution PNG format.
The update introduces a suite of social improvements to keep players informed of what's going on in games they own, and several UI enhancements.
PlayStation Plus gets a dedicated section on the home screen, taking users to a page where they can manage the features of their premium membership.
An events hub also will also come to the home screen, offering a look at activities and official broadcasts involving games users are frequently playing. Messaging other PSN users now offers a stickers option similar to other direct message services on social media.
