The headline above is a bit blunt, but I cannot stress this enough: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 is a really bad game, and it's not worth the $60 price of admission on current-gen consoles.
It's extremely buggy, even after its monstrously large patch — even to the point of failing to boot up on my Xbox One until I created a new account on the console. Its physics engine seemingly doesn't exist, allowing your skater to perform sequences of tricks while standing perfectly still, or causing them to crash on the lip of a quarter pipe for no reason whatsoever. You're forced into its broken online lobbies, where other players stutter like laggy ghosts, and where most interactive objects cease to function entirely.
It is a miserable game, and you can watch Nick and me play it for a while in the video above.
