The Choice Provisions team (née Gaijin Games) is no stranger to iOS. While the developer has traditionally focused on console and PC games, they've also brought two of their past games – Bit.Trip Beat and Bit.Trip Presents... Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien – to Apple's portable platform.

What the studio hasn't done before, though, is release a game exclusively for iOS – but that's changing with Go! Go! CommanderVideo, a free Bit.Trip-themed endless runner coming from Choice Provisions in the very near future.

With no microtransactions or in-app purchases of any kind, Choice Provisions isn't touting Go! Go! CommanderVideo as a game they expect to be hugely lucrative for the studio; rather, they see it as a small way to give back to fans of the Bit.Trip series. While it would've been easy to use Go! Go! CommanderVideo's shop full of unlockable hats and characters as an avenue for revenue, they instead opted to create an ad-supported title that will never cost real-world money.

Above, check out the first-ever gameplay footage from Go! Go! CommanderVideo, which should look familiar to fans of the Retro Zone bonus levels from Bit.Trip Runner and Runner2.
