This week — tomorrow, in fact — marks the 20th anniversary of the PlayStation's American debut, and PlayStation is celebrating the big 2-0 with a blowout sale on the PlayStation Store.
Over 120 games for each of the PlayStation consoles are available at a major discount. Some of the biggest titles featured in the birthday bonanza include:
- Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Digital Pro Edition for the PlayStation 4, which is $68 down from $99 this week;
- Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin, which is half off for both PS4 and PlayStation 3 versions;
- the PlayStation Vita's Persona 4 Golden, down to $19.79 from $29;
- and Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, which is a whopping 70 percent off for the PS3. Although, as we reported earlier today, you might want to wait for its upcoming PC version.
PlayStation Plus members receive an additional 10 percent off on all titles participating in the sale, as well.
Sony has been celebrating the PlayStation's anniversary throughout the year. The PlayStation Store ran a similar special back in January. Things really kicked off last December, however, as the PlayStation's original Japanese release was Dec. 3, 1994. Sony celebrated the milestone then with a special edition PS4.
The sale is running now until next Wednesday, Sept. 14. Don't forget to wish the PlayStation "happy birthday" as you complete your transaction.
