Here we go again with another real-life representation of a wild, highly-stylized video game weapon. This time, the Man At Arms: Reforged series tackles the Oathkeeper Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts.
This is the series' second stab (forgive me) at a keyblade, having taken on Sora's nearly two and a half years ago. As always, video game designers can create something completely ornamental and yet still make it functional, where these guys have a much tougher time.
It stands to reason that, like the Keyblade, this production run was limited to one unit. Another fun fact: Man At Arms got Dickies to sponsor this episode. I'd love to be in the pitch meeting for that one. The slo-mo destruction begins at 10:15 if you just want to see a badass piece of steel brutalize inanimate objects.
For more from the Man at Arms series, see this replica of Gorehowl (an axe) from World of Warcraft, plus replicas of swords from Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 10, Fire Emblem, God of War and Halo, and a re-creation of the hidden Phantom Blade used in Assassin's Creed Unity.
