A LinkedIn page belonging to a former Square Enix game designer reveals new information about upcoming titles in the Kingdom Hearts series, popular fansite KH13.com is reporting.
Report: new Kingdom Hearts 2.9, Kingdom Hearts 3 details emerge

According to the profile, a new game for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 is currently in development. Called Kingdom Hearts 2.9, the title previously made a brief appearance on Square Enix’s E3 schedule from this past June. The game was quickly and quietly removed, and has not been heard from since.
The developer's LinkedIn experience also provides new, potential Kingdom Hearts 3 features. His involvement with that game included "multiplayer planning and documentation" and planning the addition of the Gummi Ship. Additionally, the developer participated in meetings involving both Disney and Pixar, suggesting the latter's properties could finally make it into the game.
While Kingdom Hearts 3 won’t be making a scheduled appearance at next week’s Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix will be holding a secret event, as we previously reported. It’s possible more information about the unannounced Kingdom Hearts 2.9, or even both titles, could come out of that.
Kingdom Hearts 3 will launch on both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Square Enix has not yet provided a release date.
Correction: The Gummi Ship had a presence in both of the previous Kingdom Hearts titles. The article has been updated to correct the error.
