Beat Sports is a new motion-controlled sports game for the new Apple TV from veteran developers, Harmonix, best known for its Rock Band and Dance Central series of games. Like those games, Beat Sports uses music and timing but instead of pairing it with performing in a band or dance, it’s paired with sports.

On stage during today’s Apple Event, Harmonix’s Jon Carter showed off the game’s baseball mode, showing the way the controls work with the new Apple TV remote. But “as long as you have an iPhone or iPod Touch, you’ll be able to drop right in,” Carter said. The game supports up to four players.
