The Persona series is taking center stage at next week's Tokyo Game Show. A Persona-themed "Special Stage" event will take place Sept. 19, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. JST, Atlus announced on their Japanese Persona Channel website.
The event will feature live performances from a variety of artists familiar to Persona fans. Most notable on the list of performers: Lotus Juice, the rapper behind Persona 3 tunes like "Mass Destruction" and the opening theme of Persona 3: FES, and Shihoko Hirata, who sings Persona 4's opening "Pursuing My True Self" and others on its soundtrack.
The cast of Persona Stalker Club, Atlus' talk program focused on the series, will also be on hand to host a special live episode during the show.
Atlus has yet to confirm that it will also bring new information about the next Persona game, Persona 5 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, to the show. Despite a heavy branding presence at its E3 booth, the game skipped that show, too.
Atlus PR manager John Hardin said that the company is indeed still planning for a 2015 launch when we spoke to him at the June event. Hardin told us that we'll see more of the title once Atlus is "ready" to show it off.
North American fans who won't be able to get to TGS can get their hands on the most recent, music-heavy game in the series, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, when it hits the PlayStation Vita on Sept. 29.
