Things get violent in this clip from the Legends of Tomorrow pilot

Sarah Lance gets to kick some ass

The partnership between DC and The CW is set to continue next week with the network's newest show, Legends of Tomorrow.

Even with crossover appearances in both The Flash and Arrow, fans haven't been given too much of a glimpse into the series' upcoming pilot until now. The CW posted a one-minute clip from the pilot on its Twitter page last night, and in it, showed off the series' slightly more mature tone.

The scene takes place at a dive bar in the '70s and focuses on Sarah Lance (Caity Lotz) as she takes on a group of angry bikers.

Despite the violent nature of the clip, it's actually pretty funny, and does an excellent job of distancing itself from The Flash and Arrow's overall tone.

Legends of Tomorrow follows a time-traveling rogue who creates a team of superheroes — and villains — tasked with saving the world from an impending apocalypse.

The series is set to premiere on Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. ET. A special half-hour presentation that includes interviews with the cast and crew will air on Jan. 19.
