Oof, that looks painful

EA Sports UFC 2's latest gameplay trailer, released today by publisher Electronic Arts, offers a closer look at how the sequel's new features will hopefully enable you to deliver harder-hitting knockouts, engage in tighter grappling and transition easily between submission holds.

Developer EA Canada is introducing a physics-based hit reaction engine called the Knockout Physics System, which the studio says will make fighters "fall in response to their momentum and the blows they receive." The studio is also aiming to "bring the ground game to life" with a new grappling system, and offer more ways to "dominate the mat" with more detailed submission options.

You can see those features in action in the trailer above. EA Sports UFC 2 is set for release March 15 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and it will be available five days early to EA Access subscribers.
