Odin Sphere remake arriving in June

Replay Vanillaware's beautiful RPG

Odin Sphere Leifthrasir is arriving on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on June 7, publisher Atlus confirmed.

Leifthrasir is a high-definition revamp of developer Vanillaware's 2007 release, one of the company's earliest. It serves as a spiritual succesor to Princess Crown, company president George Kamitani's earlier project developed at Atlus, and bears many of the traditional marks of Vanillaware titles: gorgeous 2D art amidst a fantasy setting, with the inspiration being drawn from Norse mythology in this particular release.

The game was confirmed for a North American release last July. In November, Atlus Japan launched a social media campaign in which fans could lobby for a special 8-bit version of the game by tweeting at the company's account. Following the success of that promotion, an 8-bit Odin Sphere was confirmed to be in the works; no release date has been given for that title yet.
