Sony has sent codes for a free one-day extension of PlayStation Network to subscribers, as a make-good for the unexplained outage of Jan. 4.
North American subscribers began receiving codes this week. The extra time will be added to the end of a user's currently active subscription. The code must be redeemed by March 31.
PSN was offline for about 12 hours on Jan. 4. The outage affected all online services.
