Prison Architect is coming to consoles

Early Access favorite leaves Steam

Prison Architect, Introversion Software's jail simulator, is arriving on consoles this spring, the developer announced. You can watch the debut trailer for the console versions above.

Prison Architect will launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, as well as Xbox 360. Currently, it's available to play on Mac and Windows PC through Steam.

The game was one of the first Early Access titles made available on Valve's platform. The Early Access program launched in March 2013; Prison Architect's full release came more than two years later, in October of 2015. Between its Early Access and full launch, however, the game received a plethora of updates and new features.

There's no release scheduled for the console port of Prison Architect quite yet. Introversion said it has sold more than 1.5 million copies on PC so far.
