Sony announced on Wednesday that its upcoming Spider-Man movie would be getting released three weeks earlier than expected.
The studio confirmed that Spider-Man, which now stars Tom Holland as the web-slinging hero, would be released on July 7, 2017 instead of July 28 to make room for the remake of Jumanji.
The remake, which is being helmed by Jake Kasdan (Bad Teacher, Sex Tape), was supposed to be released this year on Christmas, but after facing scheduling conflicts has been pushed back. It will now take Spider-Man's original release date on July 28, 2017.
There's currently no word on who will be playing the lead in Jumanji, made famous by the late Robin Williams in 1995. The film is currently in its pre-production stage.
