For Hoshido!

Early on in Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, the player character — named Corrin by default — makes a major decision: to side with Hoshido, the kingdom whose throne you were born to inherit, abandoning the Nohrian family you grew up with to join the blood relatives you've never met before. It's a tough decision to make: so tough, in fact, that many players may choose to play Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest instead, a game that explores how things would play out had Corrin made the opposite decision.

By chapter 13 in Birthright, things are dire: in the wreckage of a failed plan to attack Nohr's King Garon, Corrin and crew must develop another way to get at the king — all with Corrin's obsessive former sister figure Camilla nipping at their heels.

Above, watch us play through the entirety of chapter 13, complete with major CG cutscenes, plenty of tactical strategy gameplay, and an emotional combat confrontation between Corrin and Camilla.

Fire Emblem Fates comes out in North America on Feb. 19. For more, watch our video on how the story unfolds when you're forced to choose your side in chapter 6, or check out our new hands-on gameplay video from chapter 10 of Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest.
