The Tomorrow Children lets you fight giant monsters and also bureaucracy

The Tomorrow Children is one of the strangest games I've played in recent memory, and keep in mind, that list includes an asymmetrical babysitting deathmatch and a showering simulator. At its core, The Tomorrow Children is about collecting resources to improve and protect a town seated in the middle of a desolate wasteland. On top of that base layer, though, are a hundred bizarre ideas, all hinged on how you operate inside of a rigid, bureaucratic class system. Also: You can fight off Kaiju with rocket launchers. I can't believe I forgot to mention that earlier.

Developer Q-Games opened up the beta for The Tomorrow Children for us to explore, and you can see the fruits of my labors in the video above. The game is due out in the first half of 2016 on PlayStation 4.
