Atlus has launched an 8-bit version of Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, which is available to play in your browser.
The retro take on Odin Sphere lacks the beautiful artwork of the game, the HD remake of which launches in June. It also is completely in Japanese, but it's simple enough to understand despite the language barrier.
As spear-wielding Gwendolyn, star of the full game, you'll fight off monsters in a forest setting. The controls are basic: You can jump over your enemies or quickly stab them in the effort to gain experience. Run out of hearts and it's game over.
The de-make was announced on the company's Twitter in November, when it launched a campaign requiring fans to tweet their support of the browser game. After clearing the bar of 28,888 related tweets, Atlus confirmed that the retro Odin Sphere would make it to browsers at some point in 2016.
The full-featured Odin Sphere Leifthrasir will be out June 7 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
