Street Fighter 5's newest trailer highlights training mode shortcuts

Work on your game while you wait for a ranked match

We're a little more than two weeks from Street Fighter 5's launch (PlayStation 4 and Windows PC), and this latest trailer from Capcom familiarizes viewers with the game's modes of play and options within them.

Getting a lot of attention are the training mode shortcuts (1:37 of the video), which many fans have pointed out have been standard to Arc System fighting games (BlazBlue, Guilty Gear). These will allow fighters to play and replay matches always beginning with a certain set of givens, to test strategies against various conditions they may face later. The difference is, on the PlayStation 4, the DualShock 4's touchpad streamlines the re-positioning process with a touch.

Other features include the means to wait on a ranked match while in practice or other modes of play. Street Fighter 5 launches on Feb. 16. Then, in June, it will update with a cinematic story mode, a first for the franchise. A video explaining that feature is below.
