Fire Emblem Fates is a game built around making a pivotal decision. Towards the end of the game's fifth chapter, the protagonist must choose a path: either side with Nohr, the adoptive family you grew up with headed up by a corrupt king, or Hoshido, your true blood relatives who see you as the heir to their throne. Once you make the choice, Fire Emblem Fates actually splits into two separate games with separate campaigns: Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest.
