Daredevil's second season may finally have gotten a launch date on Netflix.
According to ComicBook.com, Marvel's critically acclaimed show that premiered last year on the streaming service will reportedly return on March 25. If that date sounds at all familiar, it's because it's the same day that DC and Warner Bros.' massive film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will open.
Although the move to release the show on the same day as Warner Bros.' film is cheeky, it shouldn't impact sales for the movie, like some are suggesting. It's not like Marvel and DC are releasing two competing shows or two competing movies at the same time that ask for a viewer's prolonged attention. Diehards can squeeze in most of Daredevil before going to see Batman v Superman if they really wanted to, or can return to it once the movie is over.
Still, this isn't the first time Marvel has tried to release something on the same day that DC has. Originally, Batman v Superman was scheduled to hit theaters on May 6, but the movie was pushed up after Marvel announced they were going to release the third installment in its Captain America series, Civil War, on the same day.
Polygon has reached out to Netflix for confirmation on the reported date.
