You can now pre-order the retail Oculus Rift for $599, and the company has detailed what comes in the box. And it's a very nice box, as shown in the above image. The carrying case is something Oculus founder Palmer Luckey has previously hinted at on Twitter.
People really loved the carrying case we included with DK1 and skipped for DK2, so good news: It is coming back, and doper than ever!

Your $599.99 gets you the Rift headset, the desk-mounted sensor, an Oculus Remote, and a wired Xbox One controller.
The Oculus Remote is described as a good way to introduce people who may not be familiar with gaming controls to VR.
"The Oculus Remote is a new input device we designed to make it simple and intuitive to navigate VR experiences," the press materials state. "With Remote, you can easily browse the Oculus store, explore 360 video content in Oculus Video, or experience a wide range of VR games and entertainment. It is the easiest way to introduce non-gamers to VR."
This is not to be confused with the upcoming Touch controllers, which have been delayed until later this year. Your pre-order today "secures your place in line" for Touch pre-orders, however.
