IGF 2016 finalists include Her Story, Undertale

The Independent Games Festival 2016 takes place March 16, and the judges have today announced the competition's finalists.

The 18th edition of the annual awards show received more than 750 entries, which were evaluated by a panel of over 400 judges. The finalists and honorable mentions, listed below, include titles both familiar (Polygon's 2015 Game of the Year, Her Story) and less well-known or yet to be released.

The winners across each category will receive prizes totaling more than $50,000, with the Seumas McNally Grand Prize making its recipient $30,000 richer. The event will stream live on Twitch, along with the Game Developers Choice Awards. Its host is Nathan Vella, co-founder of Capybara Games.

After the awards are handed out, you'll be able to try out the finalists on the show floor at this year's Game Developers Conference, which runs March 16-18.
