Adam Sandler's first film made under his exclusive four-picture deal with Netflix, The Ridiculous 6, was scorned by critics and deemed one of the worst movies of 2015. It's also, according to Netflix, the most watched film on the streaming service ever.
According to The Verge, during a keynote presentation at the 2016 Consumers Electronics Show, chief content officer Ted Sarandos said that within the first 30 days of the film's release last month, it was viewed more times than any other title.
Sarandos added that it took the top spot for most watched film in almost every country the service is available in and, in some regions, is still the most watched film daily.
Although that doesn't help the film out critically, it's probably great news for business that Sandler can still draw in this big of a crowd. There's no word on what his next film for the service will be or when it should be expected, but The Ridiculous 6 is available to stream right now.
