BoxBoy! sequel makes debut on Japanese eShop

All quiet on the Western front, though

A follow-up to Nintendo and Hal Laboratory's BoxBoy! is now available on the Japanese Nintendo eShop. Nintendo revealed the existence of BoxBoy!: Mou Hito Hako just a day before it making it available for download. It launched yesterday, Jan. 6 and costs 680 yen, if you're lucky enough to own a Japanese 3DS.

The trailer above shows that the game stays true to that core puzzle-solving we liked so much the first time around, with an added splash of color and the ability to conjure two boxes at once.

BoxBoy! made its debut in a Japanese exclusive Nintendo Direct before Nintendo of America confirmed a stateside release last year; here's hoping the sequel follows suit. We recently named the game as a must-buy for 3DS owners. You should check out the gameplay footage below to see why.
