Resident Evil 7 biohazard is something of a departure for the series. It’s in first-person perspective and, so far, we haven’t seen much in the way of the game’s trademark zombies (or otherwise zombie-like creatures). But Capcom has promised that familiar Resident Evil gameplay tropes — green herbs, for example — will return in the new game, including one we can see today.
It’s brief — and part of a longer, 10-part video tease — but in one of two new clips released today, we see Resident Evil 7’s player character collect a shotgun from an item box and slot it into their grid-based inventory.
We’ve known for a while now that players will be able to fight with pistols, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives and chainsaws, but it’s nice to see some classic Resident Evil gameplay mechanics show up in a new form.
