Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 delayed again

First-person stealth shooter now set for April release

Polish developer and publisher CI Games today announced a ten-week delay for its first-person stealth shooter Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3.

This is the second time the game has been delayed. Initially announced at the tail-end of 2014 with a planned 2016 launch, the game was pushed back to Jan. 27, 2017 in June. The new release date for the PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One game is April 4.

"We’re making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans,” said Marek Tymiński, CEO of CI Games. "The entire team is pushing really hard to make the entire experience more polished. I really hope everyone will understand our decision .”

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 puts players in the role of a military operative assigned to take out high-value enemies. Unlike its 2010 and 2013 predecessors, the newest version gives players open-world mission choices, and lets them use drones to recon targets.
