The Nintendo NX is about to make its debut and now we know it’s true name, the Nintendo Switch. Here is the reveal trailer:
In a news release, the company explained that, “this preview trailer will serve as Nintendo's preliminary announcement of information regarding the platform.”
Anticipation is brewing for the new console and according to Nintendo, the announcement trailer for the Nintendo NX will be six times longer than the Wii’s official reveal. Although, at three minutes long, don’t expect an exhaustive explanation of the console’s details.
Nintendo fans have been waiting for more details on the Nintendo NX since the company confirmed that the platform would be available worldwide in March 2017. Several reports from anonymous sources claim that the Nintendo NX will use cartridges, might be region-free or it could serve a dual purpose as a home console and portable platform.
Now that Nintendo has confirmed that we’ll be getting more details today, perhaps fans can stop pinging Nintendo’s social media accounts.
