Dishonored 2 live-action trailer looks like it should be a movie

Mostly flesh and steel

Bethesda has done it again. Dishonored 2 is the latest to get the live-action treatment, much like last year’s goofy Fallout 4 live-action trailer, to fuel that hype train.

In this two-minute clip, Corvo Attano and Emily Kaldwin take on flesh-and-blood forms to showcase slick combat moves and a small slice of the game’s setting, Karnaca. It’s more surprising than unsettling to see abilities like Shadow Walk and Far Reach blend so well into real-world surroundings. There’s far less (and by less, we mean none) blood splatter compared to previous gameplay trailers, but it’s hardly a detriment.

If you’re a cosplay fan, be prepared to salivate over some fine details once Corvo’s iconic mask makes an appearance. The grizzled veteran is seen blinking and slowing time against a wave of enemies — a nice throwback in conjunction with new moves. We also get a brief glimpse of Dishonored 2’s main villain, Delilah Kaldwin, as she saunters in fashionably late to an event full of robots and murder. Check out the clip above for the full experience.

Dishonored 2 will be released Nov. 11 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
