New Final Fantasy 15 short film, Omen, has a good dog

Also, Final Fantasy 15 has “gone gold”

Square Enix released a new computer-animated short film to promote Final Fantasy 15 today. The short, titled "Omen" and produced by Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy 15 studio Digic Pictures, shows the upcoming game’s protagonist, Noctis, fighting through an ever-shifting world and chasing down a very good dog who is also a very brave dog.

Additionally, Final Fantasy 15 has "gone gold," Square Enix confirmed today, a major milestone in the game’s decade-long development. After a recent delay, Final Fantasy 15 is on target for a Nov. 29 release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

While Final Fantasy fans wait, they can watch "Omen," which showcases Noctis using his magical combat abilities against foes human and inhuman. While Noctis chases a very sweet-looking shiba inu — which appears to be Pryna, the dog introduced in anime spinoff Brotherhood Final Fantasy 15 — he becomes consumed by a madness that brings harm to his beloved fiancée, Lunafreya.

Since it’s not clear how closely related "Omen" is to the narrative events of Final Fantasy 15 the video game, or just how much we’ll be hanging out with and fighting alongside this good little pupper during Square Enix’s epic adventure, watch with a mind for potential story spoilers.
