Titanfall 2 teased a return to a fan-favorite map, Angel City, at the end of August, and now we know when we'll be going: December.
Angel City will, as promised, be free and it is the first post-release map on Respawn Entertainment's schedule for Titanfall 2. The studio announced the month today in a news update on the game, which is set to launch Oct. 28 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
"Fully remastered, Angel City is a map that is near and dear to many of us here at Respawn, and has proven to be a fan favorite since players first got their hands on it in the original Titanfall," wrote producer Drew McCoy.
Also of note, more cosmetic items will be offered as downloadable content and "these items will be available for purchase," McCoy said.
In June, Respawn said that all post-release maps would be free for Titanfall 2, and that also went for any future modes or gameplay implements. Cosmetic items would seem to fall outside the scope of that promise. "Gameplay is first here at Respawn and [this premium DLC] will in no way impact the gameplay," McCoy said.
More information is coming later on new maps, modes and customization options, McCoy said. For more on Titanfall 2, see our hands-on with the game from last week.
