The keynote at Oculus Connect 3 has to do a lot of heavily lifting for the Oculus Rift.
We'll be on the floor covering it in person, but you can also watch the whole thing go down in the video stream above when it goes live at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.
Oculus has likely sold all the hardware it can to early adopters and VR enthusiasts, and the company’s next challenge is to figure out a way to grab players that have passed on the Rift at $600, a price that’s even harder to stomach due to the hardware’s lack of motion controls.
But today Oculus is expected to announce a price and release date for the company’s Touch controllers, as well as a suite of games that take advantage of the technology. Oculus is also likely hoping the "shit-posting" scandal involving founder Palmer Luckey has gone away, although not addressing the situation could be an even larger mistake.
Watch live to see what Oculus announces, and we’ll have thoughts about the news soon after.
