Ahead of its New York Comic Con panel on Friday, Screen Gems has released the newest teaser trailer for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, which can be seen above.
The events of The Final Chapter pick up immediately after everything that happened in Resident Evil: Retribution. Humanity is on its last legs, and Alice, the sole survivor of a war that should have wiped out the entire human race, must return to Raccoon City to take on Umbrella Corp. According to a synopsis from Screen Gems, this will be Alice’s most difficult fight yet as she takes on the monsters that tortured her in the first place.
Although this is just a teaser trailer, more information about the film — including additional footage — is rumored to be shown during Screen Gems’ panel at 1:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 7. Star Milla Jovovich and director Paul W.S. Anderson are expected to be in attendance.
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter hits theaters Jan. 27, 2017.
