Rick and Morty fan video based around ludicrous court case is finally here

Took two months to create

A couple of months ago the team over at Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty, caught wind of an interesting trial happening in the state of Georgia. The case was described by Gawker as a "comedy routine," and was so ridiculous that they decided to write an entire Rick and Morty sketch around it.

During San Diego Comic-Con earlier this summer, Adult Swim showed off their finished work: a nine-and-a-half minute long video that featured Morty as the honorable Judge Bryant Durhma and Rick as the accused murderer, Denver Allen. The video was black-and-white, and although creator Justin Roiland provided the voice work for the video, it was entirely motionless.

Luckily for us, internet, one super fan decided to dedicate just over two months of their life to coloring and animating the video. YouTube user tiarawhy posted the completed video on their YouTube channel yesterday. According to tiarawhy, the video was made using Toonboom Harmony 14 Premium software.

The video can be seen above, and be sure to stick around after the credits for a little extra something.
