Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle beat-em-up gets an official trailer

Always go with the Blue Ranger

Yesterday Bandai Namco revealed the first trailer for its upcoming beat-em-up, side-scrolling game based on the popular Power Rangers TV series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega-Battle.

In the game players choose between one of the five Power Rangers who they power up through various stages. The game, which is based on the first two seasons of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers TV show, is soaked in nostalgia that fans of the original series will be happy to see. Mega-Battle also incorporates local co-op play.

Bandai Namco hasn’t said too much more about the game, but it is being shown off at its New York Comic Con booth this weekend. Reports of the game being made circulated online earlier this year after Gematsu noted its appearance on the European ratings board website.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle is slated to launch in January 2017 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The highly anticipated live-action Power Rangers movie, which also has a large presence at Comic Con this year, will hit theaters a couple of months later on March 24.
