The second season of Netflix and DreamWorks’ popular animated series, Voltron: Legendary Defender, finally has a premiere date; fans are going to have to wait a little longer before binging.
The Voltron team made the announcement during its panel at New York Comic Con on Friday, confirming that the entire second season would debut on Jan. 20, 2017. During the panel, the team showed off exclusive new stills from the second season and confirmed that it would pick up right where the first left off.
At the end of last season, the members of Voltron were left scattered across different parts of the universe. Netflix released a trailer for the second season that gave some insight into what fans can expect when it debuts next year, including a tense moment between Shiro and Keith over the future leadership of the team. Voltron: Legendary Defender is based on the popular cartoon from 1984 and follows five space explorers who use robotic lions to carry out their missions.
The first season of Voltron: Legendary Defender is available to stream right now.
