After months of teaser trailers and photos being released from Disney, the first official trailer for the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast is here.
The trailer focuses mainly on re-introducing some of the film’s most memorable characters, including Belle, Beast, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts and Gaston. Throughout the entire trailer, an instrumental version of the movie’s classic song “Tale as Old as Time” plays in the background. There’s a lot to take in from the two-minute trailer, but the highlight is Disney’s reimagining of Beast.
The film, which stars Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast, is the next title to get the live-action treatment from Disney. The studio released a live-action remake of The Jungle Book earlier this year to great success. Directed by Jon Favreau, the film starred Bill Murray as Baloo, Idris Elba as Shere Khan and Neel Sethi as Mowgli.
Beauty and the Beast will hit theaters March 17, 2017.
