Part of the Black Friday fun on Amazon is keeping an eye out for its lightning deals, or deals that expire after a certain time. The entire Miyazaki collection of Studio Ghibli films, which usually runs for $224, is currently available for $150.
The Blu-ray collection includes award-winning films like Spirited Away and beloved classics like My Neighbor Totoro, Porco Rosso, and Princess Mononoke.
The Collected Works of Hayao Miyazaki contains 10 films, a few shorts and a bunch of behind the scenes featurettes. The set will be available as part of Amazon’s lightning deal until 12:05 p.m. ET.
Miyazaki recently announced that he was planning on coming out of retirement to make a feature-length version of a 12-minute short that he had created called Boro the Caterpillar. Miyazaki said that he was unsatisfied with how the short version of the film turned out, and as long as Studio Ghibli executives granted their approval, he was planning to turn it into a feature-length film that would be released in 2020.
