Playdead's Inside is one of the most highly rated games of 2016, a sideways-scrolling puzzle game that creates its story through atmosphere and action.
If you haven't committed to the game just yet, you can play a free Windows PC demo, released this week on Steam. The demo weighs in at 1.2 GB, as reported by RockPaperShotgun.
Released in June by the makers of Limbo, Inside is a mainly monochrome game that makes use of color for its satisfying puzzles, as well as other tricks, like mind control.
In our review, Polygon said that Inside is a “superbly crafted, beautiful game" that "delivers astounding set-pieces and an unforgettable final sequence." If you're struggling with some of its trickier puzzles, you can get some help with our Inside walkthough.
The full version of Inside is part of Steam's Black Friday sale, currently down 25 percent from $19.99 to $14.99. Check out more Black Friday deals here.
